Dresden after the fire bombing of World War II


Dresden has been largely rebuilt but some damage remains.


The reconstruction of the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), is nearing completion.
The dark stones are all that remained of the original church following the bombing.

Our hotel, the Hilton Dresden, is on the left.
