Opening Remarks from the 39th Annual Meeting held March, 1998 in New Zealand & Australia
Impossible but in a few weeks the thirty-ninth annual meeting of the NACDS will convene in New Zealand and Australia. It was only a few months ago that the NACDS members experienced Madrid and Barcelona, Spain. Our guest clinician Dr. Bruce H. Thiers and our host professors, Professor Emeritus Jose M. de Moragas, Professor Francisco A. Camacho, Professor Agustin Alomar and participating members presented a superb clinical and scientific program.
Vice-President and Scientific Program Director Dr. Ronald Godbold has arranged a clinical and scientific session that will be sure to exceed our members' expectations. Dr. John A. Doyle, North Shore Associates in Dermatology in Sydney will be our George and Norma Rogers speaker. Dr. Steven Kossard, Skin and Cancer Foundation of Australia in Sydney will deliver the Charles Oclassen lecture.
Dr. Jack White, our Secretary-General, continues to perform his duties beyond our expectations. Members will experience a special New Zealand and Australia because of Dr. White's thorough and advanced planning. It requires a great deal of time away from his office and the membership salutes and sincerely thanks him.
Ms. Mary Walton, our travel consultant, once again has succeeded in keeping all but a few of us in line. Her shepherding of NACDS members with a firm but gentle hand is appreciated.
A special thanks to the Board of Directors; your time and effort is appreciated by the membership.
I would be remiss not to acknowledge the members who prepare presentations for the scientific sessions. The quality of these presentations is second to none.
The NACDS is a unique organization concentrating on the update of information for the clinician while visiting our colleagues through out the world. There is none to compare.
